DETAILS | THANK YOU! SERIOUSLY| Detail No. 04
I’m not gonna lie, if anybody told you it was going to be easy. That would be a lie. Each phase comes with its own challenges. Dearest readers, I’m must say I’m grateful for how far we have come. I was a bit timid to start this journey. But guess what, I’m here. Not just here, your girl is here for a very long time.
The definition of longevity! Starting this blog had a different purpose: to push my limits, share my passions and make me experiment something that is out of my comfort zone.
Maybe for many of you, “out of your comfort zone” represents just a clickbait headline on Twitter. But let me ask you—did you try it? For example, did you ever try to take the bus or ride the bike to get to your office instead of driving your car? Or if you can’t live without your phone, did you try going somewhere without it for a whole weekend?
I recommend you to do so. It’s a great experiment! Now let’s go back to the purpose of this blogpost!
There are two really important things that I want to talk to you about.
You – my reader!
The one that takes the time to read my ideas, my struggles or what-nots I’m publishing here. I want you to know that I am grateful to you for been here even if I’m sure that sometimes there are better and more important things you can do.
I know, I don’t have a lot of traffic and there aren’t hundreds and thousands of readers and users checking my blog every day but there are a few of you who are reading it.
To you I’m saying the most honest and from the bottom of my heart “Thank you”
It means a lot to me that you read my blog and that you sometimes share my articles. I feel like this is a true statement of trust in what I write and that you believe my content is worthy of been seen by other people too.
I believe that every blogger, whether it’s a blogger living from his blog or doing it out of passion, should be grateful to his or her community.
Because a blog without a reader is only a pixel on the internet.
Thank you very much for supporting a small-time blogger. You gave me enough motivation to continue my pursuit of blogging. You are the reason why I keep holding on to the pen, pencil and keyboard despite the odds. You gave me enough hope to keep the flame burning – that is, to keep my love for writing alive.
You, my dear readers and followers, have inspired me to persist and persevere in my craft. Your continued patronage have helped me keep this blog running. For this, I never mind any pain on my writing hand. The pain cannot overcome the happiness that I am feeling right now, thanks to you.❤️👏🏻🎊
WAVES
This is the other thing I would love to discuss. I term this as waves because honestly I feel there’s no better word to connote my full thought. While preparing for a new blogpost, I had planned to drop something else, but I got the inspiration to write this and yeah, we’re here.
Dearest readers, you know at times, it very easy to say I’m gonna do this and that, but some challenges might pop up along the line. Those challenges are what I refer to as WAVES.
Trying to stay positive is hard. When everything feels like its falling in around you, it is hard to know what to do other than giveup, but don’t. A quote that I really like is “when life gives you lemons make lemonade.”
I believe that you can make it through anything because there are always people to help you through life, you are stronger than you think you are, and no matter what is going on just stay positive and it will all work out in the end.
Growing up there were always things going on that were hard to go through.
The people that were always able to help me through it were my parents, my sisters, loved ones and loyal friends, not excluding my maker. Having someone there for you that you can just talk to always helps. It’s better to let everything out instead of keeping it inside until it erupts and you just mentally breakdown. You must also continually strive to rise above all challenges.
Like the song by EXILIA:
I see you now invisible
And nothing seems to be alright
The scars have left that mark it’s true
This life has disappointed you
When you are alone
And there’s no reason to go on
Rise when you fall
Write it on the walls
You’ve got to fight
For what you want
Just keep that in mind when you are down or if you see somebody down, be the angle for them and just talk to them and try to help them out it will be worth it in the long run.
No matter what happens just keep going, life stinks sometimes but that doesn’t mean just give up and not try anymore. You are much stronger than that. God won’t put you in something that you can’t get through. In life there is a lot of sadness and death, but there is just as much happiness and birth. You have to stay positive and if you put your mind on something, then finish it because you can.
Continually keep your head high. You’re way bigger than the waves.
I know that is there is still a lot of work to be done, lots of things to be accomplished and many articles to be written, but today this article is about you—the few readers who are always coming back to this blog because they care about it, or maybe they care about me enough.
Thank you for making this happen!
Now, go and do likewise to someone else. Gratefulness is becoming a lost art. Take a moment to bless someone who is not expecting it because it can bring a small measure of joy in a world gone mad.
As William Arthur Ward wrote, “Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joys, and change opportunities into blessings.”
So go out today and say thank you:
Call your family and say thanks for been there for me.
Leave a comment on your favourite blog, especially if you’ve never commented before, and say thanks for writing.
Leave an extra tip for your waiter/waitress and say thanks for a great meal.
Thank a member of the armed forces for their service to our country.
Thank someone you see doing a usually thankless job like collecting trash or cleaning the bathroom.
Send a note to a friend and say thanks for sticking by your side over the years.
Once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MY BELOVED READERS AND FOLLOWERS.
I raise a toast or two for you. Keep you head above the waves.
