Monday Memo| Detail No. 148| March 31,2025

There comes a moment in life when you realize that no one is coming to hand you permission to be great. No one is going to knock on your door and say, “It’s your time now.” That moment, when you stop waiting for approval and start owning your space, is when you begin walking in your power.

But what does that actually mean?

Walking in your power is about standing firm in who you are, without apology. It’s about recognizing your worth, trusting your abilities, and making decisions from a place of confidence rather than fear. It’s the shift from doubting yourself to knowing that you are capable, deserving, and enough—right now, as you are.

Too often, we hold ourselves back. We shrink, we hesitate, we second-guess. Maybe it’s because of past failures, imposter syndrome, or the fear of what others might say. But here’s the truth: self-doubt is just a distraction. It keeps you stuck in the same place, replaying the same worries instead of moving forward.

Walking in your power means challenging that inner critic. It means replacing “I’m not ready” with “I’m capable of learning.” It means shifting from “What if I fail?” to “What if I succeed beyond my imagination?” You don’t have to have everything figured out—you just have to start showing up fully.

Have you ever been in a room where you felt like you didn’t belong? Where you questioned whether you were smart enough, experienced enough, or worthy enough to be there? The truth is, you do belong—because you earned that space. Walking in your power means recognizing that you are not an outsider in your own life. It means taking up space with confidence, whether in your career, relationships, or personal growth.

Don’t dim your light to make others comfortable. Your presence, your ideas, your energy—these things matter. Walk into every room like you belong there, because you do.

Walking in your power also means making decisions that align with your truth. Not decisions based on fear, people-pleasing, or societal pressure, but choices that reflect your values and aspirations. It means saying no when something doesn’t serve you and yes to opportunities that challenge and excite you.

Sometimes, stepping into your power requires walking away—from toxic environments, limiting beliefs, or anything that no longer aligns with who you are becoming. That’s not weakness; that’s strength.

You don’t need to become someone else to walk in your power. You don’t need to wait until you have more money, more success, or more validation. The power is already within you—you just have to claim it.

So today, stand tall. Speak with certainty. Move through life knowing that you are worthy, strong, and capable. Because the moment you decide to own your power, everything changes. And the best part? You were powerful all along.
