It’s Day 28, and somehow I can see the word “December” starting to creep up on my calendar. I have no idea who gave it permission. If you’re just tuning into 30 FASHION CODES in 30 DAYS you have a lot to catch up on! In this series, I’ve covered just about every possible fashion codes required for all perfect look.
You can catch up on days one through 27 here! Let’s keep the ball rolling.

One of the things we deeply care about is how people see us, although this doesn’t mean that we predicate our actions based on other’s opinion. But most of our successes normally depend on “how” percieve us— in our careers, relationships and legacy. One in particular is how attractive we are to others. Just like what happens when you put on nice clothes and shoes, wearing fragrances can simply make you more attractive.Your fragrance will be the first impression of you as you enter a place, and the lasting impression when you leave.
Depending on the smell, perfumes have the power to make you perfieved as more masculine, feminine, sophisticated, or sexy.
Be it a wedding, a meeting, an interview, a date, a party, or even daily events like shopping, and irrespective of dress code, the perfume you wear plays a major role in portraying a vivid picture of your character.
More than your visual appearance, your fragrance tends to precede in adding further context and depth to your attire and appearance and at the same time, becoming an invitation for other people to indulge their senses in your style.
Perfume boosts confidence. A scent that suits you can work wonders on your personality, boosting your morale, and like a perfect partner, bring out the best in you in all occasions.
Perfume plays a major role in triggering memories. Perfume triggers memories of people in the mind, which can be a powerful advantage. Your unique signature perfume is your reputation. The uniqueness of the perfume you use will distinguish and trigger memories of you in other people.
There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to wearing fragrances—where you place perfume on your body, how much you spritz on, and even where you store it can impact how long it lasts on your skin and in the bottle.
Don’t rub perfume into your skin.
You’ve probably done this several times. It’s one of the first fragrance habits we ever learned (and one of the hardest to break, TBH). But rubbing perfume into your skin causes the top notes to fade and evaporate before they can settle. Also, rubbing perfume onto your skin causes friction, which can heat up and change the scent. So how should you apply your perfume? Focus on the spots your fragrance loves most—your pulse points.
Spray it onto your pulse points.
Your pulse points, located on the inside of your wrists, inner elbows, below your belly button, and behind your ear lobes and knees, are where your veins sit closest to your skin, so you can (literally) feel your pulse. These warm spots on your body emit extra body heat, which helps to naturally diffuse a scent. To apply perfume to your pulse points, spritz or dab it (remember, don’t rub) on a few or all of them, and your fragrance will linger all day.
Where you store your perfume matters.
Perfumes are pretty and (depending on their price tags) precious, too.Where should you keep your perfume? The answer: a cool, dark, dry place.
Spritz, then walk into your perfume.
Instead of spraying perfume all over, dab it onto your pulse points and then do what we call a “spritz and step.” Spray your perfume in front of you, then walk right into it and back out.
Feel free to spray your clothes.
Speaking of clothes, applying a little perfume to your clothing is a great way to keep your scent going all day long—just make sure it’s not something that can stain (like silk).
The perfume you wear is the final touch in your overall demeanor. You put effort into your body, hair, clothes, makeup, and your signature scent is able to top it all off, wrapping the entire package together.
Your signature scent is a statement to the world that you know who you are and it presents your individuality to the world.
The self-awareness and confidence gained by looking and smelling good will work wonders on your personality, enabling you to become a better version of yourself overall and unlock more opportunities of success, whether it be at work, leisure or even day to day life.
